Background:

Being small for his age, he looks rather young. Has an extremely high IQ. From a very young age he displayed an interest in learning. He studies by reading just about every book in the world.

Chiriko was the last seishi to be found. Chiriko saved Miaka and her seishi from almost certain death at the hands of Amiboshi. He apologized for coming so late, but he was studying for civil service exams.

Sadly, he's only smart when the "character" appears on his foot. When it disappears he becomes a very stupid child. And a crybaby as well. He is a kind-hearted, gentle, and an honor student type of boy.
